This season, frizz isn't allowed anywhere near the hottest hairstyles.
Celebrity hairstylist and Herbal Essences ambassador Ben Cooke has created four gorgeous trend setting styles to rock your summer...
The new quiff
Prep hair with shampoo and conditioner.
Apply volumising mousse to damp hair and blow-dry. Leave out a triangular section at the front and pull rest of hair into a tight high ponytail.
Backcomb front section of hair from roots to tips, creating as much volume as possible.
Smooth the outside edges of the front section backwards and gently pin hair up at the back to create the quiff.
The new plait
Loosely part the hair low on one side and sweep the top section across to the other side.
This style needs to be as messy as possible, so add texture by scrunching a texturiser through the
hair from mid-lengths to ends.
Work a loose, low French plait over one eye and through front of hair, securing at the nape with grips and leaving hair out at ends.
The new bun
Prep with Herbal Essences Mask. Apply a styling spray and use a round brush for a smooth blow-dry.
Backcomb roots of hair and pull into a high ponytail. Secure with a band towards ends of the hair, then lower band to head, slightly to one side.
Once you've achieved a cool, asymmetric style, secure the ponytail band in place with strong pins.
The new curl
Using a conical tong, curl hair thoroughly from root to tip. Pin each curl into place and let the hair cool down before letting the curl loose.
Gently unravel the curls, backcomb at the roots and loosen the hair by teasing out with fingers. Add a spritz of finishing spray.
Pull up the sides of the hair, taking one side at a time, and use grips to pin curls up into a Mohican.
