Rapper appears on shopping channel and breaks sales records

P Diddy is a TV hit

P Diddy has had an amazingly successful appearance on The Home Shopping Network.

The rapper took to the sofa on the US equivalent of QVC to sell a range of fragrance gift sets with free travel bag - 'a personal gift from me to you'.

P Diddy - real name Sean Combs - proved himself to be a real professional salesman and his HSN stock sold out in just 16 minutes.

The international star also took calls from fans on the show and showed his appreciation for their support.

‘I wish I could just jump through the screen and give you a hug, girl,' he says to one caller. ‘I want to thank you for buying too!'

P Diddy, 40, has a range of Sean John beauty products including scents I Am King and Unforgiveable.

'This is not about smelling like me, this is about smelling clean, smelling sensual,' the musician told viewers.

He also announced the upcoming 2010 release of Empress - the woman's version of I Am King.
