Brian McFadden doesn’t have enough money to fight ex-wife Kerry Katona for custody of their daughters.
The Irish singer wants Molly, 7, and Lilly-Sue, 6, to live with him because the reality star was filmed snorting what appeared to be cocaine earlier this month.
'She was always troubled but of late it seems to be escalating into something ridiculous,' he says
Brian, 29 - who now lives in Australia with fiancee Delta Goodrem - is keen to reach an out-of-court settlement.
‘She can’t afford a court case at the moment, neither of us can,’ he told Ireland's Late Late Show. ‘Our last one pretty much cleaned me out…
‘I want Kerry to give me the kids, and me and my mum will look after them for the next 6 months to a year to give her time to get her life together.
‘Then they can go back. It’s important to the kids to be with her.’
But if he can’t strike a deal with Kerry, 29, Brian is prepared to take legal action.
'If we do have to go to a full custody battle I will come back to Ireland,’ he adds. ‘All I care about now is making sure the kids are happy and safe.'
