Tickets for tomorrow’s Michael Jackson memorial in LA have been put up for sale on eBay.
A total of 8,750 fans were told yesterday that they'd been selected at random to attend the service at the city’s Staples Centre.
A further 6,500 have been allowed entry to the nearby Nokia Theatre to watch it on a big screen.
But touts are trying to cash in on the fact 1.6million registered fans were left empty-handed.
Early bids for the passes on eBay have reportedly reached £12,000.
Family spokesman Ken Sunshine says promoters AEG have taken measures to eliminate duplicates and any entries suspected of being made by automated systems.
Genuine holders will receive a unique code and a special wristband today along with their tickets, reports the BBC.
'eBay will not allow the sale of tickets to the Michael Jackson Memorial Service being held on Tues 7 July. All such listings currently on any of our sites are being removed,’ says eBay's Marie Ennis.
Meanwhile, Michael, 50, narrowly missed out on topping the singles chart yesterday – his Man In The Mirror track lost out to Cascada's Evacuate The Dancefloor.
