Perry Fenwick NOT being axed from EastEnders

Bosses set record straight

Perry Fenwick is one of the most popular stars of EastEnders

Perry Fenwick is not being written out of EastEnders.

The actor’s contract expires this year and reports suggested bosses might not renew it.

But a BBC rep insists they’re still committed to Perry’s character Billy Mitchell.

‘He is a key part of life on the Square,’ a spokesman tells The Sun. ‘There are no plans for him to leave.’

Perry, 47, joined EastEnders in 1998.
