Actor appears frail as he steps out in LA

Patrick Swayze continues to smoke

A gaunt-looking Patrick Swayze has been snapped at an LA car dealership with his wife Lisa Niemi.

The Dirty Dancing star, 56, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2008.

It's thought Patrick, who wore a baseball cap for the shopping trip and puffed on a fag, has now lost his hair through chemo and is wearing a wig.

‘It is really tragic to see him now,’ an onlooker tells The Sun. ‘He is just skin and bones and looks terribly ill.”

Patrick recently finished filming on US drama The Beast.
