Mark Croft confirmed as father of secret son

Former cabbie to pay for boy's upbringing

Former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona and Mark Croft wed on Valentine's Day 2007

Mark Croft is said to have agreed to support the son of a former girlfriend following a paternity test.

The former cabbie, who’s married to Kerry Katona, was left reeling when an ex-girlfriend claimed he had fathered her 3-year-old son.

But DNA results have confirmed Mark is the father. He split with the boy's mother when he met Kerry, not realising she was pregnant.

‘Mark is the dad,’ a pal tells the Sunday People. ‘It was a surprise to him because this came out of nowhere. He has discussed everything with Kerry and she is cool about it.’

It's thought he's agreed to pay maintenance each month, although he will play no part in the boy’s upbringing.

Mark, 37, is also dad to 8-month-old son Max and daughter Heidi, 18 months, with Kerry, 28.

He has 6-year-old daughter Keeley from a previous relationship.

A spokesperson for the couple declined to comment, saying: 'It's a private matter.'
