Simon Cowell: Britney Spears was in awe of me

The X Factor judge says the singer was nervous

Singer Britney Spears has two children with her ex-husband Kevin Ferline

Simon Cowell reckons Britney Spears was star struck when she met him on The X Factor.

The singer, 27, performed her new single Womanizer on the ITV show on Saturday night.

But when she met him backstage, she was tongue-tied.

‘This may be a bit egotistical [but] I think she was in awe of me,’ Simon tells the Daily Mirror.

‘She was just staring at me. I said, “Touch me, I’m human,” and I think that broke the ice.'
