Mark Owen: I may ask Jason Orange to be godfather to my daughter

Take That star says bandmate is responsible

Mark Owen wants Jason Orange to be godfather to his newborn baby.

The Take That star, who is celebrating the birth of daughter Willow Rose, reckons his bandmate, 38, can handle the responsibility.  

‘I’m not 100 per cent sure who from the band I’m going to ask yet – if you ask one, you’ve got to ask the other two as well,’ he says.  

‘But I think Jason will be the one. He was best man at his brother’s wedding last weekend. Seeing how seriously he took his duties, I was blown away.

'Jase is really responsible, there will definitely be a tenner in the post every birthday and Christmas.’

Mark, 36, who is also dad to Elwood Jack, 2, with girlfriend Emma Ferguson, admits he's struggling to balance his workload with his fatherly duties. 

'I’m not getting a lot of sleep, I’m absolutely knackered,' he tells the Daily Mirror.

'I do my fair share of the night runs. I’m also a dab hand with dirty nappies.’
