Last year's runner-up would love to have been mentored by the Girls Aloud singer

Rhydian Roberts has admitted that he thinks Cheryl Cole is the best thing about this year’s X Factor.
The ex-contestant was mentored by Dannii Minogue in last year's show, but says the Girls Aloud singer is the star of this series.
‘I love Cheryl,’ he tells Now Online. ‘She really makes the show this year.
‘I think she’s an asset.’
The Welsh singer reached the final with Dannii, 36, but says he would have loved to be mentored by Cheryl, 25.
‘I don’t want to be unkind to Dannii because I’ve always said that she was a fantastic mentor.
‘But any male in his 20s, like me, wouldn’t dislike having Cheryl Cole!’
But Rhydian, 25, says Dannii is beautiful too.
‘I know Dannii very well and she’s beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
‘I don’t know Cheryl as well but she’s easy on the eye!’
Rhydian's self-titled debut album is released on 24 November and he will perform on The X Factor results show this Saturday.
