Ricky Gervais to appear on Sesame Street

Comedian looking forward to recording show

Ricky Gervais made his name playing David Brent in The Office

Ricky Gervais has been asked to star in an episode of kid's TV favourite Sesame Street.

The comedian, 47, says he's really excited about the prospect.

‘I've been asked to do Sesame Street,’ he writes on his blog. ‘There are some things you don't turn down.’

Ricky will join puppets Bert and Ernie, Big Bird and Elmo for the recording.
