SHOCK! Rihanna rushed to hospital after collapsing on stage

Singer taken ill while performing in Australia

Rihanna is thought to have been overcome by the heat in the venue

Rihanna was taken to hospital on Saturday after she was taken ill during a gig.

The singer was performing in Sydney, Australia, when she had to leave the stage.

It is thought the heat and her skin-tight costumes caused her to become dehydrated.

Rihanna’s spokesperson played down the incident and did not confirm if she had been treated by doctors.

‘It was very hot at the venue,’ her rep says.

‘After Rihanna’s set was over, she went off stage and needed to sit down, catch her breath and have some water.’
