An emotional memorial service was held for Jennifer Hudson's family on Sunday – but the singer and her sister did not attend.
The Oscar winner's mum Darnell, 57, and brother Jason, 29, were killed at their home in Chicago two weeks ago.
Then on Monday, her sister Julia’s son Julian King, 7, was found dead in an abandoned car after suffering multiple gun shot wounds.
Over the weekend, hundreds of friends and relatives gathered to celebrate their lives at Pleasant Gift Memorial Baptist Church in Chicago.
During the service, mourners listened to songs and shared fond stories of the trio, reports Us Weekly.
Jennifer’s brother-in-law William Balfour, Julian’s stepdad, is currently in police custody.
She has created the Hudson-King Foundation For Families Of Slain Victims to support those coming to terms with the killing of a loved one.
