Daniel Craig: I turned down Thor role

Actor didn't fancy wearing a wig

Daniel Craig first played 007 in Casino Royale

Daniel Craig has revealed that he was offered the role of Marvel comic book hero Thor. 

But the James Bond star wasn't interested in the multi-million pound deal.

'They approached me,' Daniel, 40, tells the Daily Star. 'I turned it down. I didn't fancy running around with long hair and a hammer.'

Kenneth Branagh, 47, will direct the movie, based on the Norse Thunder God.

Thor is due for release in 2010.
