Actor to appear in A Nightmare On Elm Street

Billy Bob Thornton will star as Freddy Krueger in a remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street.

And the original Freddy, Robert Englund, 61, says the 53-year-old is an 'excellent choice'.

'A big budget should mean the film will look a lot better than some of the old movies,' he tells the Daily Star.

Wes Craven horror A Nightmare On Elm Street was released in 1984 and spawned 6 sequels.
