Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke: I love Kate Garraway

But dancer denies rumours of romance with the GMTV host

Anton Du Beke and Kate Garraway were partners on Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke has spoken out about the rumours surrounding his relationship with GMTV’s Kate Garraway.

They met on the set of the BBC dancing show last year and both have since strongly denied the reports of a romance.

‘I was cross because the suggestion was made that something was going on, when it wasn’t,’ he says.

‘I don’t understand why 2 people can’t just be friends.’

Although the stories caused a lot distress for both Anton, 38, and Kate, 40, they still catch up regularly.

‘I’ve seen Kate since then. We hook up for coffee every now and again.

‘But the truth is we’re both very busy people, so I don’t know when I’m seeing her again,' he tells Weekend magazine.

‘But I still love her. In fact, I love all my girls. They make the loveliest dinner companions.’
