Teen scoops prestigious modelling contract

Alex Evans won the final of the Living TV show

Alex Evans has been crowned Britain's Next Top Model.

The Surrey student fought off tough competition from Catherine Thomas, 18, and Stefanie Wilson, 22 - who is rumoured to be dating comedian David Walliams.

She has been awarded a contract with Models 1, a campaign with Max Factor, and will appear on the cover of Company magazine.

‘Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I could achieve anything like this,’ she said after winning.

‘But now I have proved myself wrong.'

Fourteen hopefuls entered the fourth series of the Living TV show, but judge Lisa Snowdon is happy with the overall winner.

‘She's very special looking and all her pictures are fierce,’ she says.

‘The fashion world is her oyster.’
