Dannii Minogue gets £500k pay rise for The X Factor

Singer will return to the panel for ITV reality show

Dannii Minogue is back on The X Factor

Dannii Minogue has been given a £500,000 pay rise to return as a judge on The X Factor.

The Aussie singer impressed bosses when her act Leon Jackson, 19, won the show last year.

‘Dannii is thrilled to be back,’ says a source. ‘The pay rise, taking her from around £400,000 per series to £900,000, is well deserved.

‘Her act won the competition and ratings for the series were fantastic. And this year it looks like there'll be two shows a week - one on Saturday and one on Sunday night, so in effect she's doubling her hours.’

Dannii, 36, is also being lined-up as a guest judge on the next series of American Idol.

‘She's also been linked to American Idol but is still in the negotiating stages,’ the source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘In the meantime, Dannii can't wait to get cracking with next week's London auditions.’

Meanwhile, Dannii was named TV Personality Of The Year at last night's Glamour Women Of The Year Awards at London’s Berkeley Square.
