Nigella Lawson bans bum close-ups on cookery show

Chef wants camermen to concentrate on the food

TV chef Nigella Lawson has banned cameramen from filming her rear as she thinks it takes attention away from the food.

'There is a rule - no one is allowed to shoot my bum unless it is out of focus - not if they want me to be nice to them and feed them,' she says.

Mum-of-two Nigella, 48, has made rustling up a jam roly-poly sexy but as a teenager she lacked confidence and cooking helped her come out of her shell.

'I was always quite a shy girl but I got liberated,' she explains on TV show A Taste Of My Life.

'I cooked for my friends and I cooked for anyone. I still do it now.

'No one leaves my house without something wrapped in tin foil. I obviously have got a feeder impulse.'

Nigella appears on A Taste Of My Life on Tuesday on BBC2 at 6.30pm.
