Amy Winehouse to perform at Nelson Mandela gig

Singer will help celebrate his 90th birthday

Amy Winehouse is said to have received a personal call from the former South African president

Amy Winehouse has agreed to headline Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday gig in June, it has been reported.

The former South African president is said to have personally phoned her to ask her to perform at the Hyde Park concert on 27 June.

‘Amy was stunned when she got the call,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘She thought it was a hoax - well you would wouldn't you?

'But once she worked out it really was him she accepted straight away and gushed about how much she was looking forward to it. She couldn't believe it.’

She will be joined by Sir Elton John, 60, Razorlight, and Queen.

Meanwhile, The Sun claims Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, is still planning to divorce Amy, 24.

And that’s not her only problem.

Amy was snapped soaking up the sun yesterday in Henley, Oxfordshire, and appeared to have a bald patch when she took her beehive, reports the Daily Mail.
