Girls Aloud: Is this their final year?

A new tell-all book is planned and solo projects are in the pipeline...

Girls Aloud After

Girls Aloud are at the top of their game with 4.2 million record sales and five platinum albums in the UK under their belt.

They've always laughed off rumours of a split – but this time the signs indicate that the end of the road could indeed be close.

Next month, they kick off a huge UK tour that's set to net them at least £3 million in total.

The ink is also just dry on a book deal that will land them £1 million each. Dreams That Glitter – Our Story, due out in October, will chart the band's success since 2002.

Cheryl Cole, 24, is considering dishing the dirt on her cheating husband Ashley while Sarah Harding, 26, will talk about her exes, including Calum Best.

'They're all still committed to Girls Aloud, but nothing lasts for ever,' says an insider. 'They were all very young when they got together on Popstars: The Rivals 6 years ago. Now they know the industry inside out and can use their fame to pursue their different dreams.'

Nadine Coyle, 22, is currently living in LA and her family are also settled in the States. She's based there permanently and has also just bought a new restaurant.

Nadine CoyleCheryl Cole's planning to move to the US, too, and wants to concentrate on rebuilding her marriage to Ashley and possibly renewing her vows.

Cheryl ColeNicola Roberts, 22, is focusing on Dainty Doll, her beauty collection for girls with fair colouring, which goes on sale from Jelly Pong Pong this week.

Nicola RobertsKimberley Walsh, 26, meanwhile, is in a settled relationship with boyfriend Justin Scott, also 26. A friend says: 'Justin's told everyone that Kimberley's the girl he wants to marry. I've got a feeling that he might propose after the next tour.'

kimberleySarah Harding's also turned her back on her party girl ways to build a home with DJ boyfriend Tom Crane, 28.

'She hardly ever sees Tom because he gets in so late and she usually has to be up early, but they're fully committed to one another and there's no doubt it'll last,' says the friend.
