Halle Berry names baby daughter

Actress chooses something sweet for her little girl

Halle Berry has named her newborn daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry.

The actress, who lives with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 32, gave birth to the little girl on Sunday.

'We didn't have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital,' Halle, 41, tells Access Hollywood.

'For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her.'

The name Nahla is believed to mean honeybee in Arabic.

Before she became a mum, Halle admitted she was scared about childbirth.

'I'm realising that there's a baby that's got to come out and someone is going to have to be there to push it out,' she said.

'Emotionally, I'm a bit of a mess. Besides all the hormones bubbling and boiling inside me, the anticipation is starting to get to me. I'm more nervous now than I was during the Oscars.'
