Westlife singer says he wants whatever's best for his children
Tuesday, 20 November 2007
Brian McFadden has revealed that he doesn’t mind his daughters calling someone else Dad – as long as it means they’re happy.
The former Westlife singer, 27 – who split with ex-wife Kerry Katona in 2004 – says he's okay about them viewing Kerry’s new husband Mark Croft as another parent.
‘I think it’s a good thing,' he insists. 'To me it shows that they are happy living with him, and feel comfortable and safe.
‘Having a full time second dad around is much better than Kerry being out dating and bringing different guys around. They know I’m their father and it’s fine if they call us both Daddy.’
But while Bri’s pleased Molly, 6, and Lily Sue, 4, are content – he desperately wants custody of them and has even bought an expensive house in London with girlfriend Delta Goodrem, 22, to boost his chances.
‘His legal team have advised him it would be a good idea to put down some permanent roots because the judge in the custody case would look on it favourably,’ a source tells The People.
‘He helped design the place and it’s going to look amazing.’
