Blake is shocked wife Amy Winehouse didn't scoop the award

Blake Fielder-Civil has hit out at Mercury Prize officials - saying his wife Amy Winehouse was robbed.

Amy performed live at the event in London, but the prestigious gong was given to the Klaxons – who also scooped a whopping £20,000 in prize money.

‘Amy was robbed,’ Blake tells the Sun. ‘Who knows why they didn’t give her the award.’

But Blake – who has a turbulent relationship with the singer – says he is incredibly proud that Amy, 23, is getting her career back on track after her collapse last month.

‘I was so proud of her for her performance,’ he says. ‘She’s really well and doesn’t need to go back into rehab.’
