Ellen Pompeo angry at fiancé for huge engagement ring

Grey’s Anatomy star thinks diamond is too big

Most girls would love the man of their dreams to propose with a huge diamond ring, but not Ellen Pompeo.

The Grey’s Anatomy star wants to chuck her dazzling rock away.

‘All the magazines care about its size. I think, "Oh it’s absolute rubbish and I’d like to throw the ring in the sewer",' says the 37-year-old.

Record producer Chris Ivery, 38, proposed to Ellen last November with a diamond sparkler that cost a mint.

But far from being over the moon, the actress was furious.

‘He got it in Beverly Hills and spent his entire life savings, which I could kill him for,’ she tells Stella magazine.

‘I was very mad about it. Some days I really love it, and some days I just want to sell it and give the money to charity.’
