Amy Winehouse's father-in-law fears for the couple

Amy Winehouse's father-in-law Giles has warned the troubled couple that they're heading for a horrible end.

'Stop or you'll end up dead like Sex Pistol Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy!' he's told them.

Punk rocker Sid was just 21 when he died of a heroin overdose in 1979 after being accused of killing lover Nancy Spungen.

'Drink, drugs and a history of self-harm is a worrying cocktail,' Giles, 42, tells the News Of The World.

Amy, 23, and Blake, 24, have been staying in London hotels since leaving the £10,000-a-week Causeway centre for the second time last Sunday. They were photographed bloodied and battered after a bust-up this week but insist they are fine.

'We know Amy and Blake are both into self-harming,' admits Giles. 'It's a psychological problem — people do it when they don't feel in control. It's their way of getting back in charge. But with the two of them self-harming it's very worrying.'
