David Beckham could be about to head to the States as he considers his future at Real Madrid.
The former England captain has been stalling over contract talks with the Spanish club because he can no longer hold down a place on the squad's first team.
And unless he can be guaranteed more time on the pitch, he could turn his back on Real.
But Beck's future is far from bleak. If the 31-year-old moves to America he could become a global phenomenon.
'The challenge in the States is to get American kids to fall in love with football,' a source tells The Sun. 'No other player has managed it. It would be an incredible achievement.
'He would continue to play football as well as becoming a huge ambassador for the sport.'
Victoria, 32, has already been spotted viewing houses in California.
'Victoria met J-Lo at a party in New York last year and they hit it off instantly,' says a source close to Posh. 'David also gets on well with J-Lo's husband Mark Anthony and considers Tom Cruise one of his closest friends.
'He likes the Los Angeles lifestyle and thinks it's a great place to raise a family.'
Problems between David and his club came to a head yesterday when Real director Predag Mijatovic was misquoted as saying the club had withdrawn its offer of a new deal.Click here to see what's new in our photo gallery>>
