Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are officially friends again

Simple Life stars patch up their differences

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are foes no longer.

The 25-year olds - who have been locked in a two-year war of words - have patched up their differences and are now due to start work on a fifth season of their hit reality series The Simple Life next month.

Series producer Jon Murray says: 'The thing the viewers love is the two girls together.'

He insists the show won't ignore their bust-up but will instead look at 'what led to the breakdown in the friendship and maybe some of the misunderstandings and things that got in the way.'

The reason for Paris and Nicole's fallout has never been revealed although, last year, Paris issued a statement which read: 'Nicole knows what she did, and that's all I'm ever going to say about it.'

The pair sealed the renewal of their friendship by going out for dinner together at trendy West Hollywood restaurant Dan Tana's on Sunday night.

One onlooker said: 'They looked like best friends to me. 'They were laughing really loud and seemed more than happy to be together.'
