Mick Jagger has ex-wife Jerry Hall to thank for his sobriety after she gave him an ultimatum when they met: drugs or her.

'He gave up drugs for me,' says the 56-year-old Strictly star. 

'He took LSD every day for a year in the 60s and admitted he was even smoking heroin.

'I was disgusted. I told him: "Go away and don't come back 'til you're straight."

'He succeeded - he had amazing willpower.'

The pair were together for 22 years before they divorced in 1999.
