Aliona Vilani injured herself during training

Aliona Vilani will be replaced on the Strictly Come Dancing live shows this weekend after she fractured her ankle.

Lithuanian dancer Iveta Lukosiute will partner former children's TV presenter Johnny Ball while Aliona recovers.

'I am super-excited to come to the UK and join the Strictly Come Dancing team,' says the 32-year-old, who's appeared on US show So You Think You Can Dance.

'When I found out that I will be dancing with Johnny Ball, I looked him up online.'

Aliona, 28 - who won Strictly with McFly's Harry Judd last year - injured herself while training with Johnny, 74.

The show's website has confirmed that she's likely to be out of action for at least two weeks.

'THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT! FOR ALL OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL MESSAGES! YOU ARE AMAZING! LOTS OF LOVE BACK!!!! XXXXXXXXXXX' Tweets Aliona.

'DON'T WORRY...I'LL BE BACK ;) XXXXXXX.'
