Ben Forster won the coveted role of Jesus on the ITV series Superstar last night.
The Sunderland-born singer, 31, beat finalists Rory Taylor and Roger Wright to bag the lead part in Andrew Lloyd Webber's tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, which begins at London's O2 Arena this September.
'It's been such a whirlwind since [winning] that I actually can't remember the moment, it seems such a blur,' Ben tells ITV's This Morning.
'It hasn't really sunk in yet. People keep congratulating me. It's bizarre, but brilliant.'
Ben will star alongside Chris Moyles, Mel C and Tim Minchin in the show.
Andrew recently revealed that Chris, 38, may have to put a stop to his dieting as his recent weight loss means he's getting too thin to play King Herod.
'We signed Chris and now he's gone and lost all that weight,' Andrew, 64, told the Daily Star.
'Herod was a big man, so it looks like it will be a fat suit.'
