Former Doctor Who star Caroline John has died at the age of 71 after suffering with cancer.
The actress - who played Doctor Who's assistant Liz Shaw alongside Jon Pertwee for 25 episodes of the series - passed away on 5 June and was laid to rest on Wednesday.
Caroline and her husband Geoffrey Beevers worked on several Doctor Who audio and spin-offs after she left the series in 1970 to have her first child.
More recently she was seen in episodes of Doctors, Love Actually, Midsomer Murders and Silent Witness.
'Carry was always delighted to return to Liz Shaw in our audio series,' David Richardson, from production company Big Finish, tells BBC News.
'She was a brilliant actress and a lovely, kind soul who was a joy to be around. She will be greatly missed.'
