Vicky Pattinson tells Dan Wootton: I can't say Geordie Shore isn't Downton Abbey any more
Surely it would be impossible to find our own Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation?
But boy was he wrong.
'All the X-rated talk of banging, boobs and Gaz's, er, remote control-style asset quickly made Geordie Shore the ultimate guilty pleasure,' says Dan.
'It was no surprise when Cheryl Cole recently revealed it's her favourite show.
'Now wanted to take the six wildest Geordies as far out of their comfort zone as humanly possible, so not only did I get them to actually wear clothes in the middle of a heatwave, our crack style team transformed them into the characters of period drama Downton Abbey.
'But when I sat down with the cast in pairs, the very 21st-century language would've made Downton's Countess of Grantham faint with horror...
'To kick things off, Vicky Pattinson cackles: "Any time anyone moans about the show, I always say: 'It's Geordie Shore, not Downton Abbey - if you f***ing don't like it, then switch off!' But now I can't say that any more."'
