Opera singer Jonathan Antoine has been getting used to his new-found fame since reaching the Britain's Got Talent's final.
He and partner Charlotte Jaconelli became firm favourites with the public after sailing through Monday night's semi-final with their performance of Pavarotti's Caruso.
'I went to Bristol the other day to see a friend at university there and what should have been a five-minute journey took half an hour because so many people wanted their pictures taken with me,' says Jonathan, 17.
'I've signed several autographs - I had to come up with a signature because I didn't even have one before - and I've even had a few marriage proposals on Twitter.'
Jonathan, who weighs 20st, suffers from depression and has previously spoken about the nervous breakdown he had back in October after being picked on at school.
He credits Charlotte, 16, and BGT for helping to give him back his confidence.
'I used to walk down the street and people would give my funny looks and that would be horrible,' Jonathan tells Weekend.
'Now when they're looking at me they're thinking: "That's the guy from the telly."'
