Gary Barlow will be touring with band Take That from May to July
Simon Cowell has revealed that Gary Barlow will take his seat on the UK X Factor's judging panel.
Though 40-year-old Take That singer-songwriter Gary's position is secure, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh are yet to sign contracts.
'Gary Barlow is the first person confirmed,' says Simon, 51, who kicked off auditions for the US version of the show yesterday.
While Simon will be taking a backseat role on the British series, 4th judge Cheryl
Cole, 27 - who's joined Simon in America - will not be returning at all.
Saturdays star Frankie Sandford, 22, is rumoured to be replacing the Geordie singer.
'Frankie has all the right ingredients for an X Factor judge - she looks great, she can hold her own and she's been there,' a source tells The Sun.
'The Saturdays have had to work hard so she knows what the wannabes are going through.
'Just like Cheryl, she is young and glamorous and someone the contestants can relate to.'
