X Factor stylist Grace Woodward insists the show's finalists didn't need much help in the fashion department - all except for one, that is.
From the moment X Factor winner Matt Cardle took to the stage in his first audition wearing a grubby hat and jeans, Grace knew his dress sense didn't match up to his voice.
'All the contestants came on board with an individual style - except for Matt Cardle who started with a really bad fashion sense!' says Grace, 33.
'For some reason he wanted to work the wife-beater vest look all along.'
But Grace - who had a brief relationship with Matt, 27, but dumped him for his flirting ways - succumbed to his rough and ready style in week seven's Beatles themed live show.
'I gave in but only when I thought it fitted the song,' she says.
'When he chose a sexy song I thought there was no harm in him wearing a vest on stage.
'Other pop stars do it!'
