Simon Cowell has reportedly offered George Michael a judging role on the US version of The X Factor.
The music mogul wants a credible singer to be part of the panel.
'George is going to take the job,' a source tells The Sun.
'Simon knows that Americans love him. He is as big in the US as he is over here.
'He is a true star and has the wit and experience for the job.'
George, 47, performed with Joe McElderry, 19, during The X Factor final in 2009.
Simon, 51, will launch the hit singing show in America next year.
