Nikki Grahame: Big Brother helped me to overcome anorexia
'I have had to bite my tongue lots of times,' she told Davina McCall.
'I've learnt that I can be quite reasonable. It's taken 4 years.
'Big Brother has changed my life so much. You guys have done so much to support me. I've got these amazing memories. Thank you.'
Nikki thinks Brian Dowling is a deserving UBB winner but was closest to Vanessa Feltz in the house, calling her 'an angel'.
The pair confided in each other about their issues with weight.
Nikki, 28, battled anorexia from an early age and spent a total of 11 years in hospital after multiple suicide attempts and repeatedly trying to starve herself.
‘Can you believe I went through that?' an incredulous Nikki told Vanessa.
‘It doesn't seem real.
‘I did relapse, especially when I was writing my book, but I've faced my demons now and turned it around.'
Nikki's book Dying To Be Thin documents her struggle with anorexia and her road to recovery.
