Big Brother's John James has revealed he was picked on when he was younger because of his appearance.

In a frank conversation, the 24-year-old Aussie told housemate Josie that he suffers from insecurity.

‘It's because of my past, that's why I am the way I am,' he explained.

‘That's why I feel sorry for so many people.'

David Beckham look-a-like John James also confessed he wasn't always a hit with the ladies.

‘All the cool girls used to give me s***,' he said.

‘I just got picked on for being short.'
