Adrian Chiles unveiled as new GMTV presenter
Adrian Chiles is joining ITV breakfast programme GMTV.
The 43-year-old will present the show five days a week from later this year.
As part of a four-year deal with ITV, Adrian will also front the channel's football coverage.
‘I've spent all my working life at the BBC, working with and learning from some of the best people in the business,' he says in a statement.
‘I will miss all my friends and colleagues very much but can't wait to get started with new people on two major new challenges for me at ITV.'
Adrian currently presents The One Show with Christine Bleakley on BBC One.
‘We would like to thank Adrian for his contributions to his programmes and we wish him well for the future,' says a spokesman for the broadcaster.
Strictly Come Dancing champion Chris Hollins is expected to take over from Adrian on The One Show.
Chris Evans will continue to present the Friday edition of the programme.
