David Cook is the winner of American Idol 7
The rocker, 25, beat David Archuleta in the finale which aired in the States last night after they both belted out 5 songs over 2 shows.
On Tuesday the pair sang 3 times, then last night they performed another 2 tracks, including the winner's single The Time Of My Life.
David Archuleta, 17, even sang a brilliant duet of Apologize with US band One Republic.
And the finalists put on a fantastic show - with the help of some celebrity friends.
Previous contestants joined them for a medley of songs to honour George Michael, Donna Summer and Bryan Adams before the music legends look to the stage themselves.
George, 44, made a rare TV appearance and wowed the audience with a rendition of Praying For Time, while Donna, 59, performed new single Stamp Your Feet and old favourite Last Dance.
Bryan, 48, gave the Idol contestants a masterclass when he sang a selection of his songs, including hit single Somebody.
Other celebs who came along to show their support included Ben Stiller, 42, Jack Black, 38, Robert Downey Jr, 43, Mike Myers, 44, Jimmy Kimmel, 40, and previous Idol winners Jordin Sparks, 18, and Carrie Underwood, 25.
David Cook's first single The Time Of My Life is available now on iTunes.
