Michelle Keegan was born to parents Michael and Jacqueline in 1987. The couple divorced when she was 10.

The actress – who has Spanish ancestry on her mother’s side – has a younger brother called Andrew.

Growing up, Michelle was a student at St Patrick’s RC High School in Salford before enrolling at the Manchester School Of Acting.

The stunning brunette had a part-time job at Selfridges and also worked as a check-in agent at Manchester Airport before finding fame on Coronation Street.

Michelle Keegan auditioned for the role of Tina McIntyre in the Manchester-based soap in 2007. She was cast as Jack P Shepherd’s character David Platt’s new girlfriend after impressing producers.

In 2013, Michelle announced her plans to leave the show, leaving fans devastated. In May 2014 viewers saw Tina attacked by Marc Baylis’ on-screen alter-ego Rob Donovan. He pushed her off a balcony and beat her with a metal pipe.

Michelle made her final appearance on the cobbles in June 2014 when Tina died from her injuries.

During her time as a member of the Coronation Street cast, Michelle enjoyed a relationship with The Wanted singer Max George after meeting him a gig.

They got engaged in 2011 after just seven months together but parted ways in 2012, the same year she met Mark Wright.

Michelle Keegan started dating the TOWIE hunk that December and he popped the question the following September during a romantic holiday in Dubai.

Loved-up Mark has been very supportive of Michelle’s career since she decided to quit Coronation Street.

Michelle launched her own fashion line for Lipsy London in July 2014. She continues to act and has landed roles in TV dramas such as Ordinary Lies and Our Girl.

In May 2015 Michelle married Mark in a lavish ceremony held in Bury St Edmunds.
