Sheryl Gascoigne says ex-husband Paul was drunk when they met

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Sheryl Gascoigne has been telling her campmates about her relationship with ex Paul Gascoigne.

After splitting from the former footballer, she reckons she's had it with blokes.

‘I'll never love again like I loved my husband,' Sheryl, 45, confided.

‘I've told you I'm done with men, that's it now.'

The couple met in a wine bar when Paul was still a soccer hero and surrounded by girls.

‘Paul was drunk, really drunk. I should have known, shouldn't I?' Sheryl, 45, told her campmates.

‘But he was so charming after that, he was just lovely.

‘I started falling for him. I thought: "Oh no, I'm going to get hurt here".'

Sheryl divorced Paul, 43, who struggles with alcoholism, in 1998 after a turbulent two-year marriage.
