Alex Curran: I absolutely love living in Liverpool

WAG backtracks after saying the city's rough

Alex Curran is married to Liverpool FC striker Steven Gerrard

Alex Curran has reassured her fellow Liverpudlians that she still loves it there.

The WAG, who is married to footballer Steven Gerrard, 29, claimed she though it had gone downhill.

‘It's not the same any more,’ she said. ‘To be honest, it's rough. Everywhere new that opens attracts the wrong type of people. It's not nice.’

But now Alex, 26, has released a statement clarifying her comments.

‘I absolutely love living in Liverpool,’ it reads. ‘I love the people, they are so generous and friendly, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world.

‘I have lived here all my life and I am proud to raise our two daughters here. They receive a fantastic education, and as the city of culture, there is so much to offer us as a family.’
