Katherine Heigl is married to singer Josh Kelly

Katherine Heigl is leaving hit US show Grey's Anatomy, her co-star has confirmed.

James Pickens Jr, 54, says he'll be sad to see the actress, 30, go.

'I wish her nothing but the best,' he tells Us Weekly.

Katherine has played Dr Isobel Stevens in the medical drama since 2005.

TR Knight, 35, is also rumoured to be leaving this series.

US network ABC, which airs the show, declined to comment.
