Fern Britton: Losing weight hasn’t made me happier

But This Morning star does enjoy clothes shopping now

Fern Britton is the face of Rivita

Fern Britton says her weight loss hasn't changed her outlook.

The This Morning star shed 5 stone after having a secret gastric band operation in 2006.  

‘Am I happier this size than I was before? No,’ she said on a radio interview.

‘Am I feeling better about myself this size than I was before? No.’

But Fern, 51, says she’s enjoyed updating her wardrobe.

‘That really was the biggest thing apart from the fact that I’ve done my health a lot of good,’ she added.

‘I can go and buy clothes — and that is really good fun.’
