Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has caused outrage on Twitter after he labelled Brit singer Adele 'too fat'.
The 78-year-old German, who's said in the past that 'no one wants to see curvy women', was guest editing a free French newspaper when he made the controversial comment.
'The thing at the moment is Adele,' Karl wrote in the paper.
'She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.'
Disgusted fans of Adele, 23, have responded in fury to Karl's words online.
'Thought of day: Who cares what Karl Lagerfeld says about Adele? When you're as talented as her wearing Chanel isn't going to change anything!' Tweets one fan.
Another writes: 'I'm kinda disgusted that Karl Lagerfeld called Adele 'too fat.' Makes me not want to buy his clothes. Ever.'
