Geri Halliwell is swapping her microphone for the catwalk

While Victoria Beckham's been winning over even the toughest Stateside stylistas at New York Fashion Week, closer to home her former bandmate Geri Halliwell's determined to reinvent herself as a catwalk queen too.

After dipping her toe in the water with a swimwear range for Next this summer, Geri's upped the ante with a new collection of foxy floor-sweepers for the high street store.

The 39-year-old wowed front row fashionistas - including the Now girls - as she took to the runway to model her brand new high street collection.

'I call this dress the Pippa,' said Geri, showing off a marine green number for £95. 'She'd look great in it.

'I'm used to performing but on the catwalk you're completely exposed.

'Although I was only putting one foot in front of the other, because I designed the collection myself there was a mixture of nerves and wondering: "Do they like it?"'
