Sexy soaps stars dazzle in red dresses on the red carpet

Soap icons go red at the TV Choice Awards in London

Forget the bright young things of soap, the real stars of the TV Choice Awards held at The Dorchester hotel in London were the golden oldies.

Soap actresses Gillian Taylforth, Denise Welch and Gaynor Faye were stunning in red frocks, which set them apart from a sea of classic LBDs.

Waterloo Road star Denise, who also played man-eater Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street, picked up her Best Actress award in a slinky body-con red dress and matching satin heels.

Meanwhile, EastEnders legend Gillian, who played Kathy Mitchell in the soap, was a little more covered up in a sparkly red maxi dress, while Gaynor, best known for her role as Judy Mallett in Corrie, opted for celebrity favourite label Gorgeous Couture.

Her one-shouldered dress with Swarovski crystal cuff was the perfect little red dress for her curvy frame.
