Going for gold: Sandra Bullock is on winning form

The stars step out in metallics to hit the Oscars red carpet

Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock shows off her golden style

It seems Sandra Bullock has the Midas touch, winning first place in a silvery-gold Marchesa frock AND scooping the Oscar for Best Actress.

Sandra, who won her first Oscar for her role in The Blind Side, was simply stunning in a figure-hugging metallic satin number. Rumour has it she wore it because her stepdaughter, six-year-old Sunny, ‘liked it'. The shimmering gown appeared modelled on the golden statue itself.

Other celebrities rocking the ‘Hollywood Catwalk' in gold included Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta. Arriving a little late on the red carpet, Cam simply oozed old Hollywood glamour with her wavy hair and scarlet lips.

Gold awards also go to Hannah Montana teen star Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham and Sex And The City's Sarah Jessica Parker in a pale, yellow-gold silk dress by Chanel Couture.

Scoring in silver were Kate Winslet in strapless Yves Saint Laurent, Kathryn Bigalow in Marchesa, Julianne Moore in Calvin Klein and Role Models actress Elizabeth Banks in a ruffled Versace dress.
